A Little History
Back in late 1998 I wanted a website, any website and since I enjoyed surrealist
art it was suggested to me that I get the name and build a site. Since my trade
is computers I have also used this site as a personal training tool as well. Each
version of this site has been created with a technology I wanted to learn. I started
with static html, moved to a little java script, a dynamic text based site using
cgi/perl, PHP 2.0, PHP 3.0 and PHP 4.0 all using mySQL, XML & XSLT, classic ASP,
.net 1.0, .net 1.1 and .net 2.0 all using some form of MS SQL, XML or Access back
end. It is currently running .net 2.0, C#, a couple webservices and a little AJAX.
The only thing worthwhile I haven’t done it in is Ruby on Rails.
