| Biography: |
Barbeau, a painter and sculptor, studied in Montreal at the school of furniture. He was a member of the Automatist Group, having signed their manifesto, Le refus global in 1948. He has lived in Paris, New York , and Claifornia, and at last report, continues to pursue his experiments in sculpture.
