Name: Michel Leiris
Year of Birth & Death: (1901 - ?)
Biography: A writer and a poet, his primary profession is ethnologist. He first belonged to the Rue Blomet group, but later joined the Surrealists and remained with them until 1929. He is the author of many works, including "L'Age d'homme" (1938), "Haut-Mal" (1943) and numerous articles on painters whom he knew personally.
